The Client

Inflight Peripherals Ltd (IFPL) design and manufacture audio connectors for communication and entertainment systems for airliners. Their products are supplied to Panasonic Avionics Corporation, Thales and Rockwell Collins and can be found on leading airlines including Virgin Atlantic, Qantas, British Airways, Singapore Airlines and Emirates. In 2008 IFPL won the Queen’s Award for Industry: International Trade

The Issue

IFPL sought external expertise when they upgraded their network to a server to speed up the system. In 2006 the company asked a number of suppliers to quote for a new system, and Cemoc were successful.

Cemoc Solution

IFPL now have a Total Systems Support contract to help their in-house IT expert to manage the servers and network of over 20 PCs.

Results

Over the years, Cemoc have helped IFPL to grow from 6 PCs to 22PCs and to implement an upgrade of the entire infrastructure, including Microsoft Small Business Server running on Dell PowerEdge hardware, with robust and reliable back-up and anti-virus solutions.
